Hello,

I’m Michelle Madrid

I help women in midlife reclaim their power, unbox their potential, and become unstoppable.

I grew up feeling invisible.

As an adopted woman, I spent my entire life struggling with a sense of lost identity—long before I ever understood what that even meant.

Born from an affair and placed in foster care, love wasn’t something I was familiar with. I felt out of place, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the world around me..

I carried the weight of shame, fear, and unworthiness—believing it was my fault and that I had to shrink to survive.

Even as I grew older and became a wife and mother, I continued to bury those feelings of inadequacy, boxing them away so I could function in the world.

But here’s what I’ve learned: the boxes we carry—filled with stories of shame, doubt, and fear—do not define us.

Instead, they illuminate the path to unboxing our potential and claiming the unstoppable power within.

My Journey to
Breaking Free

Before dedicating my life to helping women reclaim their power, I spent 12 years as a television news anchor, earning a #1 show and an Emmy nomination.

But behind the accolades, I carried the residue of shame and isolation from my own past.

Born in the UK and adopted by American parents, I grew up as the target of my adoptive father’s anger and the silence of an emotionally exhausted mother. The message I internalized was clear: I didn’t belong.

For years, I felt invisible, unworthy, and fundamentally wrong.

But I refused to let those stories define me.

Real healing began as I started to become an “empty-nester” and felt an overwhelming sense of grief.

I soon realized the grief wasn’t just about missing them—it was the grief of losing myself. Of the identities, roles, and expectations I’d buried while I focused on taking care of everyone else.

That grief grew louder, and I couldn’t ignore it anymore.

It became an invitation. A call to unbox the next chapter of my life and reclaim all that I am—and all I have yet to become.

I chose to do the deep work—embracing self-reflection, unboxing the emotional burdens I’d carried for years.

Step by step, I opened (and released) the boxes of shame, self-doubt, and so much more that had weighed me down—and I reclaimed my true self.

Today, I use my certification in Leadership Psychology from Cornell University, training from the Institute for Life Coach Training (ILCT), and decades of personal growth to help women just like you unbox their potential and embrace their power.

Why I Do This Work

Because I know what it feels like to disappear inside your own life.

To lose your sense of identity.
To question your worth.
To believe that being unseen is just the way it is.

I’ve lived that story.

Especially in midlife, when the roles I had poured myself into began to shift—mothering, caretaking, striving—I found myself grieving not just what was changing, but the parts of me I had long abandoned to serve everyone else.

That ache brought me back to an earlier chapter—coming to terms with being adopted. The quiet loss of identity. The silent question of: Who am I, really?

But here’s the truth:

I made it through. And not by becoming someone new—but by unboxing the woman I had always been underneath. I found my way home to myself.

That’s what I want for you.

You don’t have to keep living boxed in by outdated roles, buried grief, or the belief that your needs come last.

You are not too late, too much, or too far gone.
You belong here.
The world needs your voice.

And your next chapter? It gets to be bold, true, and fully yours.

Let’s Break Free Together

No matter where you’ve come from or how long you’ve felt invisible, it’s time to unbox your potential. It’s time to stop shrinking and start living boldly.

You belong here, and the world needs your story. Let’s take the first step toward building a life that’s authentic, powerful, and entirely yours.
